Engage Early in Capital Project Design
You cannot maintain-in more reliability than you have designed-in. Properly addressing two critical subject areas during the design phase is the only way to enable the optimal Asset Life Cycle Cost of Ownership.
Design for Reliability
Ensures that all the asset owner’s technical, regulatory, and business requirements are properly identified, prioritized, and engineered into the original capital project. This process helps ensure excellent Asset Life Cycle safety, performance, and cost of ownership
Design for Maintainability
Ensures that the asset’s design and plant layout account for ongoing maintenance requirements. Some of these requirements include periodic full or partial disassembly and reassembly. Design for Maintainability enables preventive, predictive, and prescriptive maintenance tasks to be completed safely, efficiently, and effectively while minimizing the Asset Life Cycle Cost of Ownership.
